Now the question is had it been approved (the commission being cut in half) and the project went underway would Lozada act differently?

If Lozada had even half of the commission will it also be considered as “moderated greed” or “Greed Controlled: Mission Success”? Would it add to his resume of doing something moderately right for the Filipinos?

As an office worker without the benefit of a TV and can't tune in to the Senate investigation, thank you. I am so relieved to be able to listen in on the burning testimony of the week.

Salamat, DJB.

I guess the writs of amparo and habeas data would come in handy to find out what went into the kidnapping of Lozada.

mb,

Good guess in this case!

But there is a history of judicial corruption on a massive scale around amparo in Mexico ... from 50 years ago. Think we can avoid such a fate? Think you could keep a horde of flies from rotting meat?

As for habeas data, just think about the implications for your precious Right to Know, for Press Freedom,
Academic freedom, corporate and NGO information gathering, and all sort of other Free Speech arenas that would be subject to what I believe amounts to unreasonable search and seizure of data.

It's false presumption is that we own all the data about us, our family, job and correspondence like we own our body or our liberty. Uh-uh!

The strangest piece of the habeas data rule is the concept that you can destroy information! Are they nuts?

i hope a crater was created after J LO's explosive testimony yesterday.

a crater large enough to withstand the rampant demolition job on J LO by the government.

baycas,
hahaha! very good, JLO's "crater". Touché on me. Your point, sir. I can't deny the existence of that one even if it is literally a hole in Gloria's territory. But that's not Glorietta okay. hehe.

It may be time for her to start moving all her assets out of the Philippines and find a country with no extradition treaty where she can go and enjoy.

anon, you misunderstand her, as many of her enemies do. that is why they have not succeeded against her. Money is not what drives her to get up in the morning. It's power and more than power, the vanity of power that is her demiurge.

Is it really power that wakes her up in the morning?

Some people in academe (who know her performance) say she is really an insecure PhD! By that they mean she has a lot of chips on her shoulder and that having an Economics PhD contributed little to her self esteem.

She's a woman. Who can fathom them?

"She's a woman. Who can fathom them?"

OMG! DJB, what a crappy thing to say.

The Hello Garci case was bigger and more explosive than this ZTE/NBN crapper. They even have Gloria on CD asking for a 1million vote lead there. NOTHING CAME OUT OF THAT!

Think this one will be any different, folks? Hint: the palace is portraying FG as some sort of saint.
