Malthus Was Wrong But Malthus Was Right!

MALTHUS was wrong! Norman Borlaug's Green Revolution proved that the threat is not overpopulation but the need for agricultural productivity, which was a problem that was solved in the 1960s in places like the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI). The threat today is Global Warming and Climate Change. But think! If Science fails to pull off another Green Revolution against the present environmental threat--if Kyoto-Copenhagen FAIL, which now seems likely, it will be of no consolation to admit that Malthus was right. It cannot be denied now that the time, expense, complexity, and difficulty of any solution grows exponentially with population,  because in fact, if you read the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, this time the solution to the problem requires global technological, economic, political and social revolutions.  Therefore we are forced into the following conclusion:

Pascal's Wager actually applies to a belief that Malthus was right.  We must act now AS IF Malthus is right,  because if he IS right, the cost to us of assuming he is wrong, is the probable extinction of the human race!
