Part of it is a result of CBCPWorld.com's use of an open source tool called Moodle in teaching teachers and personnel in various parish Catholic schools. You can visit their e-learning tool site at http://www.cbcpworld.com/moodleJanette Toralhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04446831361930542916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14974164.post-1129560642053984502005-10-17T22:50:00.000+08:002005-10-17T22:50:00.000+08:00Right you are sir, about the "proper role of good ...Right you are sir, about the "proper role of good shepherds." But I just noticed COMMENTS are turned off on Bishop Cruz's site. At first I thought he should have them on, but then I guess that could potentially swamp him couldn't it. I just posted the latest news that somewhere in the world a new blog is made every second! They might be blogging all day and all night and have no time to be bishops.Deany Bocobohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01443168826029321831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14974164.post-1129560347647578382005-10-17T22:45:00.000+08:002005-10-17T22:45:00.000+08:00DJB,I am not entirely sure if the CBCP realized th...DJB,

I am not entirely sure if the CBCP realized their mistake in encouraging bishops to blog individually.

While the encouragement must have been made in the best of times, bishops blogging in the worse of times will betray the fracture within the monolith, which until now, has been ably concealed through their unified joint pastoral statements.

Which is good anyway. Without blogging, we would have to wait for the CBCP to assemble, meditate and await their resolution. With blogging however, we can immediately discern the leanings of each bishop as to matters of grave temporal concern such as one that presently besets us.

Bishops Cruz, Yñiquez, Labayen et al. have taken the proper role of good shepherds, leading by the front rather than waiting from the rear.

There is much consternation on Bishop Rosales who broods too long and acts too slow. He is our archbishop and yet, he acts like a politician when confronting evil, tentative and compromising.

Blogging is a neutral weapon that can be used for good or ill. In the hands of a bishop, it can hasten the coming of the kingdom and usher a ray of light in this present darkness.Edwin Lacierdahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02498998943215285752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14974164.post-1129553578688336102005-10-17T20:52:00.000+08:002005-10-17T20:52:00.000+08:00A warm welcome everyone! It's a fine night at Phili...A warm welcome everyone!

It's a fine night at Philippine Commentary. Please have a look around. Excuse our dust. This blog was recently resurrected, but all sorts of new features are planned.

Make yourself at home. The rest of the atmosphere in the archipelago is bad enough. Let's enjoy each other's company.

Lots of things are happening. The air is palpable with expectation...

Again, a warm welcome!
Dean BocoboDeany Bocobohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01443168826029321831noreply@blogger.com
